Sadly, I suspect it won't be released midnight Australian time. Much more likely to be midnight American EST or PST. :(

I especially wouldn't put much trust in the Australian EA. They're pretty slack about such things. But if you're going to be awake anyway, may as well keep checking!

Yeah, I will be checking these pages in a few hours time for a while ( I esp. hope, but not hold my breath, the EA AU will at least make the trial download available very soon after midnight)

Unfortunately all we can do from there is track the game, still no sign of any kind of order link.

Will have to tune in to see how that goes. I'm sort of taking a stand against the purchase (although not confident I can get the full version via Australian channels), but I can see me caving in soon after the 17th.

I've ordered a copy from the UK version of Gamespy's Direct2Drive but I have no idea whether or not they'll actually let me download it. If you feel like taking a $10-ish (AUD) gamble, you could try them - www.direct2drive.co.uk
The US version of D2D says it's only available in the US/Canada but the UK version says nothing of the sort, so I'm hopeful!

Was in EBGames today, and there is no evidence that Spore Creature Creator even exists, let alone is going to be available in a few days. Perhaps all the "Sale!" banners were in the way. ;-)
